PERSON LAST



You know the last person anyone wants to see?

(The executioner.)

Ha! It's funny, I was going to say "the last person on earth". Double entendre'...

(I truly wish you'd stop pointing that out, Scribbler, it's annoying.)

It just means that logically the last person on earth would be the executioner. So you are the last person that even you want to see...

(Damn.)

Don't lose hope, everything is rapidly falling into place. Soon even the fear of death will fade away...

(Silence...)

I have been witness to the four pillars and see no reason to carry death there. Doesn’t the world know that life moves for more than just the sons of Abraham? O! I see the stunned throats floating by in the dusk to their stiff-limbed sleep as metal rains down over the Jordan’s western prophet, children dying there.
