DO NOT FLEE

Do not flee the truth beneath the feet, do not imagine a better place in the offing, this is now, this is now and this is now. (H)eartH is a living, breathing, feeling thing, Life in its masterful evolution, not some eyesore from our lowly human perspective, a thing we need shape in the image of Peace and Love and Kindness and Charity and Heaven and Home and for the collection of Life... Happy Veterans Day

Happy Veterans Day. Pin a heart on us, the living, we, the warring. The deceased have more breath than our breathing. Emblems of our emptiness and weakness puncturing hunger’s sleeve with dreary brooch. Cackling our minute’s final gasp with warring, weak idols pinned to proud chests, unfilled, all. Pin sweet thoughts upon the dull, not pennants of gluttony, empire, warfare and oil. Mercenary Freedom

The children were dressed for the parade, yet they knew not what awaited their joy, what unknown would greet them on their path, things that had the power to dull their hearts. - This rule that breathes gives no answer; in the firmness of the warrior our exposed intolerance stirs our blind procession, our dwindling freedom. - The standing mercenary with the noise in his throat like the gurgle of death bubbling up with the blood of tyrants. - The church bells chime, the rainfall falls, the mountains mount, but the smell of addiction does not fade; human empires, without exception, do. - © 2010 by mark prime
