For Goodness Sake...

A thought: Perhaps the creator doesn't use words to speak. Why should it, words are man's way of communicating. We lend far too much importance to ourselves when we imagine otherwise. Our mere thoughts are prayers, and if we imagine the world as a whole and the weight of people's good thoughts compared with that of their bad thoughts, we might begin to see that the words used to form our prayers and the words used in our inner and outer thoughts are canceling one another out.

~

A reflection: Methinks it is not prayer, but action that will save humanity.

I would never dream of thinking we've the answers, or that we're as important as we imagine in the larger scheme of things. It's our ego(s) that got us in the mess we find the world in today.

We had to "know". We had to put "words" in the creator's mouth. We had to attempt to push our ideas, our thoughts of who and what and why and when. We continue to do so today. We had to put fear in the populace, not because of the creator's directive(s), but because of our lust for control and power. I don't believe we were ever meant to literally "know" the creator. We were meant to live in goodness. Nothing more, nothing less.

Yes. I believe we're merely meant to live in goodness. Be good to one another, help one another, love one another, remember our literal kinship, cherish our sisters and brothers, our human family. I believe we're meant to appreciate and be in awe of the creator's gift (Eden/Earth/space) to us, meant to love the earth and take care of the original gift. (We are mucking it up terribly.)

Contributing To the Peace...

(Art by ~dannycattan)
I think what we say and what we do matters a great deal more than we imagine.

If we contribute to the "noise" more than we contribute to the "peace", we, as a whole, are essentially proving that we're not worthy of creation's original quietude.

I am merely a cog in the wheel. I have contributed my share of "noise" in my lifetime, far too much than I was willing to admit for far too long. No more.

If I find myself contributing to that which simply perpetuates more suffering for my brothers and sisters of humanity, I end it as soon as it rears its gruesome head.

Knowing this about myself, I admit, still, that I am merely a cog that knows nothing and I’m okay with that.

Peace calls to each of us, its lips pursed in goodness, its language, waiting upon our kindness and love that we might join creation.

PRAY FOR TRUTH (a mad...man's rant)

Careful praying that war be the means to anything. War is not our friend. It will be our downfall, mankind’s ruin.

My freedom was and is written into the constitution like everyone else in the US, but NOT guaranteed.

My freedom to believe whatever I want, or to not believe in anything, is a right written into the constitution but not guaranteed. It is up to us to secure our rights, not through war, but through legislation or revolution or walking in peace.

Freedom is not only written in me and everyone else at birth, it’s also written into the constitution and guaranteed only by the whole citizenry of the US, not kept through warring, at least not the last four or five preemptive strikes.

When one says that God has granted everyone freedom, and then we ourselves forgo our nature and choose to rule via lies and corruption, then this reliance on the free will, the kind born in each of us, not, in truth, granted, but taken for granted, becomes the only freedom we're assured of and nearest the one worth fighting for.

War is not the answer. In defense, yes. But, in aggression or through preemptive strike, war becomes nothing more than a tool of murder.

~

In truth, the words that are attributed to Jesus in the bible, may or may not be exactly what he said. There is no guarantee that he wasn't taken out of context. As a matter of fact, it is highly likely that he was.

Son of man? Probably not. More than likely a prophet, a shaman, a medicine man, or something along those same lines. I am sure Jesus said some very profound things, like feed the poor, clothe the naked and house those without, and love your fellow man, your neighbor, Canada, Russia, Iran, Iraq, Palestine, China, Korea, etc, among many other wonderfully charitable truths.

We are all the sons and daughters of man. One seed. One truth. One. If you don't see that as the one truth, our kinship, then it is quite possible that you're blinded by "the word" and in need of a miracle to be upon your eyes.

We were given everything we could ever have wanted on this (heaven on) earth. We've no other rock that we can call home and we never will.

I believe we are thick inside of it as we speak. What is it we're to do, live in fear (war) or live in goodness (peace) as it was intended? I choose to live without fear of death or live in fear of anything, especially that which is not in my control. I choose peace, goodness. For me to do or for me to believe otherwise, according to my experience, would be a fool's errand.

~

War is not the answer, nor is the god we choose to worship, for man must seek, and perhaps find, in his own time and as he sees fit, truth. If he seeks truth through a higher power and lives in goodness, excellent. If he doesn't seek a higher power, yet seeks love and truth and lives in goodness, then so be it.

Church and State (a mad...man's opinion)

...the freedom to express one's own faith and not have it dictated
is as essential to the idea of religion as it is to the design of freedom. _mrp

I haven't an iota of a smidgen of a problem with anyone who chooses to believe in anything, God, Buddha, Allah, etc, but when it, organized religion (or anything else) drags everything, including the kitchen sink, into the hole with it, I've got a problem.

It's not a matter of who is right when it comes to the existence of God or Allah or Yahweh, etc, it's a matter of what's in the best interests of the Republic, for we are, essentially, speaking of its survival.

The separation of Church and State, or however you want to phrase it, needs to be held sacred. No. Not the novel idea of it, or either’s right to exist, for the freedom to express one's own faith and not have it dictated is as essential to the idea of religion as it is to the design of freedom.

I am comfortable saying there is a higher power, something greater than myself.
I am comfortable having a debate about political parties and their ideology, it’s when one uses that belief or faith as their guide, yet fail to reconcile with the “Thou Shalt Not Kill” principle, that I find there to be a problem.

And what of Jesus and his directives?
"If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me."

Again and again, Jesus asked us to believe in and live a spiritual and ethical life based in our essential, inherent goodness. What Jesus promoted was a succinct set of “spiritual” principals and way of life based upon the love, compassion, tolerance, and strong belief in the importance of giving and generosity to those in need.

I’m not a Christian, I know many, but I am not one of the flock, so to speak, but that doesn’t mean I don’t respect their opinion or belief, it just means that when it comes to faith, I’ve more in man than man has in himself.

Hypocrisy is one of the most horrible traits in man…

If you support a candidate who is pro-death penalty, you’re going against his words.

If you support a candidate whose pockets are lined with corporate money, you’re going against what Jesus asked of you.

If you choose a pro-war candidate, you’re not representing what Jesus would have you do.

If you choose a man or woman of faith to lead you in this Republic, Jesus would only approve if that man or woman adheres faithfully to his stated principles.

The same can be said for anyone seeking office that doesn’t hold peace, the ultimate goodness, as his or her number one driving principle.

There are many reasons to use one’s faith, if one thinks it appropriate, as a guide for your conscience, but if one is going to use it as a conduit for their vote, then one must, or should at least use those principles to judge all candidates on their merits, not just those who fit a certain ideological stripe.

With that, let me just add, that we can all believe or not believe in anything, it is our choice, we have that fundamental freedom, maybe the only freedom we can truly say is ours to hold (forever), not a principle of only the United States, but one of mankind.

There is room for everyone at the table, we just need a few more chairs so we can all sit and be at peace with one another.

DO NOT CONTRIBUTE TO THE NOISE...

Anytime we allow ourselves to get caught up in what is essentially noise, we contribute to that which will destroy us, humankind.

We have lost our goodness, it is being smothered by hatred, by wars, by murder, by pettiness, by a negative force brought about by our own hand, by the very thing that will make our existence pointless if we choose to allow it. Hatred, anger, bigotry, lifelessness, apathy (noise), is our Achilles heal. It will bring about an end to love, goodness, community and our kinship.

It is up to us to revive our genetic goodness and put an end to our competition of gods and faiths and sects and wars and murder and to stop souring love.

There was never meant to be a competition for these things. There was only meant to be a goodness so profound, yet so simple, that we needn't have ever had to ask, "why" or "who" or "what" or "when" or "how"... We were only meant to be, nothing more, nothing less.

And believe you me, I have been guilty of that, noise, to a rather large degree in my lifetime. For that matter, I've been guilty of that in my very recent lifetime.

...No more.

GOODNESS (either we give it or it will be taken away)

Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on ones perspective, none of this; -our current noise making of left and right and god competitions and hope and change- matters in the least, unless we bring goodness to the forefront and stop the aforementioned, unprecedented noise. I mean worldwide.

If goodness, and I mean the kind of goodness that hasn't words or parties or divisions or sects, but is pure goodness, and if that goodness doesn't echo throughout this land and the world, mother earth, then it will essentially have been for naught and will be a loss all around. A loss like no other.

As bleak as that may sound, it is what I believe to be the facts on the ground and in the sky as I know them. It doesn't have to be bleak. It can be, if we choose, an incredible time to be alive!

RANT~ God Variations (one)

In the beginning was silence, in the end, noise. Noise: word, thought, fear, loathing, spite, pain, suffering, panic, ungratefulness, hatred, snobbery, superiority, disregard, warring, murder, rape, ego, loss...

In my opinion, according to my beliefs, after all is said and done, what I believe won't matter nearly as much as what I've done to another, what I've done to my brothers and sisters, my entire family, the human race, and what I've done and continue to do to Creation's eternal gift of life, the eartH.

MARK RICHARD PRIME

These words belong to my muses, the spirits, yours and theirs that I dance with each day, their belief, released of any fear within them, and, as a result, love is what pours forth.

As for Mark, the manager of this blog, he began writing his first blog back in January of 2006 and began writing his ABC's back in 1968. Much has happened to the world and to Mark between both of the thens and now.

Death most resembles a prophet who is without honor in his own land or a poet who is a stranger among his people. Khalil Gibran

Make no motto of love that worships war. __mrp

The idea behind Confession Zero is to create an on-line presence with a voice that is expressly driven by peace and love.

I do not buy the idea that in order for there to be peace in the world, war must exist.

War is the antithesis to peace. War needn't exist at all! Peace, on the other hand, is the only means at our disposal that can help mankind achieve his intended purpose… love.

War cannot breathe or carry peace, it can only exhale hatred and usher in rage and revenge! War can only be eradicated through the dedicated implementation of peace.

Yes. It's hard work. Yet, imagine if we would put as much effort (and money) as we do toward "defense" into peace? We could begin to readily usher in fairness (removal of all the economic disparity found in the world) and move toward man's true purpose, which is love and goodness and stewardship. We could move toward the ultimate goal of love for all of our brothers and sisters (and life) around the globe! Imagine what we could and would accomplish with harmony for our beautiful home and her peoples...

Imagine a Department of Peace instead of a department of defense or war!

Peace is the only thing that can feed the hungry, clothe the naked, lift the downtrodden, level the economic factors, and care for our waning water and food supply...

Oh! What a joyous occasion and cause for all peoples to celebrate simultaneously!

Peace & Love,
