GOD, I WEEP




God, I weep for what's been done!

God, I weep for what continues!

God, I weep for Love's exhaustion!

God, I weep for Peace having been lost!

God, I weep for Forgiveness being hidden!

God, I weep for the sirens of Home!

God, I weep for my own transgressions!

God, I weep loudest for the Children! For the youth who stand nearest the Truth and see us building walls instead of bridges, digging graves instead of burying our judgements!

God, I weep!

Set Me free of humankind's chokehold, let Me speak!

God, I weep!

I have been witness to the four pillars and see no reason to carry death there. Doesn’t the world know that life moves for more than just the sons of Abraham? O! I see the stunned throats floating by in the dusk to their stiff-limbed sleep as metal rains down over the Jordan’s western prophet, children dying there.
