6 TOO MUCH





There are three things that bother me about this photo.
1. It can be summed up with one word, pride.
2. The assault rifle, the flag and the bible are incorporated.
3. The only thing in the photo that is natural to the human posing, is the landscape seen in the background.

Too prideful.
Too much accumulated ignorance.
Too violent.

Too rigid.
Too deadly.
Too much.

I have been witness to the four pillars and see no reason to carry death there. Doesn’t the world know that life moves for more than just the sons of Abraham? O! I see the stunned throats floating by in the dusk to their stiff-limbed sleep as metal rains down over the Jordan’s western prophet, children dying there.
