Pre-Installed

I do not understand the thinking that "evil" comes from God?

For what purpose would it serve if it came pre-installed in all models?

I think we have conjured "evil" from our fears since "evil" certainly seems to be manifested through our actions and not come raging from our birth.

Fear is learned. I do not mean instinctual fear which is a reaction of our beast and our environment, I mean fear that carries on or over from that and into our everyday thinking. The fear that manifests itself in our actions of war, murder, indifference, rape, torture, thievery, etc. These things, which stem from fear, are born out of habit and out of greed, want over need.

These things cannot be born in us, not if God is Love and Peace, Forgiveness and Laughter. It seems that the tests we learn from these days are more human-born than of God, and I believe the lessons are up to us to learn or dismiss through indifference or what have you, to be good or to be bad, to give or to take, to seek vengeance or to forgive, to be kind or to be cruel.

It is simple. Do or don't. If it were complicated we'd have likely been dismissed long ago from our virulent ignorance of kinship to Home and one another, but we straggle along just enough to save ourselves from termination, eking out our wants as we imagine we've some greater purpose other than Love and Peace. What a shame, too. Imagine if we cherished Home and each other... Heaven? Heavenly? A Peaceful Paradise? I believe so... Fear ("evil") wouldn't stand a chance.

I have been witness to the four pillars and see no reason to carry death there. Doesn’t the world know that life moves for more than just the sons of Abraham? O! I see the stunned throats floating by in the dusk to their stiff-limbed sleep as metal rains down over the Jordan’s western prophet, children dying there. I am here, waiting, breathing in the dusk under the shadow of the patriarch, asking, can we again build the shrine inside the soul and leave our flesh to time? © 2008 mrp/thepoetryman

FAULT METER

FAULT METER    When you get a question wrong you will hear three loud beeps followed by an even louder ticking of a clock.    (Like tick-tick-tick-tick-tick?)    You are half right.    (Like tock-tock-tock-tock-tock?)    You got two halves of it.    (Then I give up!)    You do?    (It ain’t out of weakness, it’s my adhdad.) I understand.    (You understand what?)    That it’s not out of any weakness on your part.    (Weakness, on my part in what?)    Never mind, it’s definitely adhdad.     •    We float, we fly, we soar! We find our wings in each other. We find friends, cousins of the one seed of existence. An existence which never began, but always was, that loves us enough to provide life’s needs, our own, the same.
