Because...



Because...
We learned less than we imagined we knew of ourselves.
We showed love with our pocketbooks instead of our hearts.
We solved disputes with bombs and guns instead of our brains.
We thought politically instead of lovingly.
We were prideful instead of humble.
We were patriotic instead of a collective.
We idly prayed instead of prayerfully acted.
We consumed by want instead of by need.
We were full of hope, but empty of Love's fullness.
We forgot who, what and where we were...

In other words, let's leave LOVE out of it altogether and deal with the facts instead. I have been witness to the four pillars and see no reason to carry death there. Doesn’t the world know that life moves for more than just the sons of Abraham? O! I see the stunned throats floating by in the dusk to their stiff-limbed sleep as metal rains down over the Jordan’s western prophet, children dying there.
