WITHIN THE ECHO WITHIN

* This is the echo within Me. The "you" to whom I speak or that is spoken to, is Me, as it, I believe, was meant to be...

* ...If you want to hear the truth of other people, you can only look to you, then as a part of them all. Don't judge another as you imagine they should be, don't look at them as if you're better, don't mock them for their life, their choices, their pitfalls, their sins, their fame, their fortune, their self-made bubble, their language, their walk, their talk, their education, their ignorance, their job, their title, their physical attributes, their swagger, their disheveled gait, their bravado, their silence, or their dis-ease, first look to your own.

Look within yourself and ask, am I better than those I see?

Ask a question that is relevant to who you are, who you've allowed yourself to become. Look within to that spirit that walks and talks through you every day. Not Jesus, not God, not Buddha, not Krishna, not Vishnu, not Allah, n…

I do not just support medical marijuana, I desire legalization and decriminalization of the medicinal plant.

Big Pharma is just one of the reasons that the medicine of marijuana has been kept illegal for far longer than any reasonable people should have ever allowed. Other reasons and industries are also responsible for keeping it illegal- timber, cotton, prison, alcohol, and I am sure there are several others...

It will be legalized and decriminalized soon, so why not get on the side of history that recognizes its medicinal benefits as well as its environmental benefit through the use of hemp?

Let's have a serious conversation, not one that is beholden to any of the aforementioned industries.

PIETY, WAR, JUSTICE

"I think it is very facile for people to say 'Oh, torture is terrible,' You posit the situation where a person that you know for sure knows the location of a nuclear bomb that has been planted in Los Angeles and will kill millions of people. You think it's an easy question? You think it's clear that you cannot use extreme measures to get that information out of that person?" __Supreme Court Justice, Antonin Scalia
~
Dear Justice Scalia,
It pains me to imagine that you are still a member of the "US Supreme Court", sir. Your simplistic take on the torture issue alone is cause to remove you from your position with haste.
You desire an easy question? Here’s one for you, sir… When speaking of torture, knowing that there is an established law that has already found it to be illegal, why do you disseminate the premise that torture is a valid tactic, especially when you base your argument on some make believe and fearful scenario? My only conclusion is that …

9 THINGS I'VE LEARNED FROM 9 YEARS OF MARRIAGE

1. Marriage is less of a contractual obligation and more a considerate commitment.

2. Marriage is a breeze if the storms are allowed to pass.

3. Marriage is a personality test, not a pop-quiz.

4. Marriage has 8 letters, like laughter, divided by 2 equals Love Life.

5. Marriage takes hard work, yet it is not a job or a chore, it’s a discipline.

6. Marriage takes two to tango or whatever dance both desire the union to be.

7. Marriage is the ceremony, Love and Laugher, the pledge.

8. Marriage is mathematical, it’s addition, not subtraction or division, that would be divorce, and it most certainly is not geometry or algebra.

9. Marriage and sex are a balance between the animals and the spirits in both.

Dear Benjamin Netanyahu

I support Israel's right to defend itself, as I do all nations and peoples, Benjamin. Problem is, there is no defense for your Government's genocide against the Palestinian Peoples, there is no defense for theft, no excuse for attacks on ships in international waters, no excuse for the blockade on Gaza, no excuse for holding away food and water and supplies for the Palestinians, no excuse for firing on and killing peaceful protesters, men, women, and children.

You, sir, have a lot of gall to speak of ambassadorship. Enough. Stand down your mighty machine, brother, or the truth might dismiss you all together and the people you claim to support will remove you from your selfishness when they see that your "leadership" only serves to bring them more suffering.

Bless the Israeli peoples, bless the Palestinian peoples, bless them all...

Peace and Love

THE TEN SUGGESTIONS

THE SHADOW

Where is the light emanating from your living?

(Snuggled tightly to our ashen mother of sustenance, her concrete cloth lashed tightly around our mouths while decaying organs clang upon their rusty pipes, a reverie to the stone dragons sleeping in our dark.)

Where are the soft, milk-filled breasts of your suckling mercy? Have they too been punctured by the weight of your sins? Do they now ooze out offerings at the foot of tyranny’s trough?

(All’s been drained, shipped away in barrels.)

How do you endure, pitiful as you are?

(We are homeless upon these darkened streets. Homeless and hungry in our unremarkable dwelling, begging that we might buy back scant drops of her nectar.)

Above the granite facing of shadow there stands your emaciated lady. She stares eyeless toward the spanning ocean, might she be the world’s saving grace?

(Her light has long been gone, spent, sold.)

Was she ever beautiful?

(Our history books say that her light once spread out over the entire globe.)

She’s nothing to o…
