DEAR PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD

Come on, dear people of this world… let's maintain our grip on our present reality. There is no great big horde of people out there who despise another for saying Merry this or Merry that or Happy that or Happy this or Happy Holiday or Merry Christmas or Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, or pick your flavor. I pray we end the madness of demanding that our rightness, our righteousness, is the “Truth”. And I pray we end the madness long before all of our “rightness”, bar none, is shown to be, without question, wrong. I don’t know, but I believe beyond doubt that it would behoove us to consider what is beneath our feet as Heaven and that those before us are angels, all, and that all living things are to be cherished, and, I believe, we must do so soon, before we put the final touches upon a Hell of our own creation. (But, just before that last, didn't you pray for all to end the madness of thinking they’re right?) Yes. (Silence…) © 2014 Mark Richard Prime

IT IS NOT OURS TO MASTER WAR

----"The army and people of the DPRK [Democratic People's Republic of Korea] are fully ready to stand in confrontation with the U.S. in all war spaces including cyber warfare space to blow up those citadels," said the statement, which was attributed to North Korea's top policymaking institution, the National Defense Commission. The statement did not provide further details of the threatened attacks. Pyongyang has a long history of issuing ominous warnings to other nations.---- __ World Post End all war and plans of war, spilled the rain! End all revenge and plans of revenge, boomed the thunder! End all lies and plans of deceit, strafed the wind! End all treacherous plans, slashed the lightening! End your attack of Home, quaked the (H)eartH! (Boom boom!) War is not humankind's to master, Serenity comes before, not after. What must we put between parenthesis? Nothing less than (Love and Peace)… © 2014 Mark Richard Prime

THE DAY THAT...

The day we decided that our love of plastics was more important than our love of trees. The day we decided that our precious genius was more precious than the genius of the soil. The day we decided that our fumes of industry were more acceptable than the exceptional air we breathed. The day we decided that our immediate family meant more to us than the immediacy of the collective. The day we imagined that we were crafting something worth repeating over what was returning within the constant flux. The day we imagined that our toxins were acceptable as long as we could accept the status quo. The day we thought we could own something and began smothering it all by the parasitic idea of ownership. © 2014 Mark Richard Prime

WITHIN THE ECHO WITHIN

* This is the echo within Me. The "you" to whom I speak or that is spoken to, is Me, as it, I believe, was meant to be... * ...If you want to hear the truth of other people, you can only look to you, then as a part of them all. Don't judge another as you imagine they should be, don't look at them as if you're better, don't mock them for their life, their choices, their pitfalls, their sins, their fame, their fortune, their self-made bubble, their language, their walk, their talk, their education, their ignorance, their job, their title, their physical attributes, their swagger, their disheveled gait, their bravado, their silence, or their dis-ease, first look to your own. Look within yourself and ask, am I better than those I see? Ask a question that is relevant to who you are, who you've allowed yourself to become. Look within to that spirit that walks and talks through you every day. Not Jesus, not God, not Buddha, not Krishna, not Vishnu, not All...

MM MM GOOD

I do not just support medical marijuana, I desire legalization and decriminalization of the medicinal plant. Big Pharma is just one of the reasons that the medicine of marijuana has been kept illegal for far longer than any reasonable people should have ever allowed. Other reasons and industries are also responsible for keeping it illegal- timber, cotton, prison, alcohol, and I am sure there are several others... It will be legalized and decriminalized soon, so why not get on the side of history that recognizes its medicinal benefits as well as its environmental benefit through the use of hemp? Let's have a serious conversation, not one that is beholden to any of the aforementioned industries. © 2014 Mark Richard Prime

PIETY, WAR, JUSTICE

"I think it is very facile for people to say 'Oh, torture is terrible,' You posit the situation where a person that you know for sure knows the location of a nuclear bomb that has been planted in Los Angeles and will kill millions of people. You think it's an easy question? You think it's clear that you cannot use extreme measures to get that information out of that person?" __Supreme Court Justice, Antonin Scalia ~ Dear Justice Scalia, It pains me to imagine that you are still a member of the "US Supreme Court", sir . Your simplistic take on the torture issue alone is cause to remove you from your position with haste. You desire an easy question? Here’s one for you, sir… When speaking of torture, knowing that there is an established law that has already found it to be illegal, why do you disseminate the premise that torture is a valid tactic, especially when you base your argument on some make believe and fearful scenario? My...
