War has not been a rare thing in our experience, for sure, but that just means that we've been lost from the get go. War is a very unnatural thing. It's like feeding an animal raw carcases of bloody flesh for their meals. Perhaps this example is "natural", but the point is that the animal will likely become more of a savage hunter from the constant taste of and for blood.
